FERN HILL

I have set Dylan Thomas’s wonderful poem to music and sang it myself. His evocation of a childhood on a farm in Britain echoes my own. I have used old photos, paintings I did in my youth and pictures from the web to accompany Thomas’s evocative imagery. Childhood vision is both intensely sharp and at the same time dreamily fantastical and I have tried to capture the flavour of those remembered days. (More about my Kentish childhood here)
The background music for the song is a remix of ‘Ocean Emotions’ from my CD ‘Gaia’s Garden’.
